The Yakima tribe occupied the banks along the Columbia, Wenatchee, and northern branches of the Yakima rivers in the modern-day state of Washington. Curtis created a total of seventeen (17) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Yakima and thirteen (13) remain available to collectors today. Also available in this section is a single copper photogravure and vintage print titled "An Old Man of Waiyam" which Curtis included in his writings about the Yakima.
