The Nootka, now referred to as the Nuuchahnulth, live on the Pacific Northwest Coast in Canada. They made their living primarily from fishing. Curtis created forty-eight (48) photogravure plates during his visits with the Nootka and forty-one (41) remain available to collectors today.
