The Blood tribe, also known as the Kainai Nation, lived primarily in what is now Alberta, Canada. Today, the Bloods are one of three nations comprising the Blackfoot Confederacy. Curtis created a total of sixteen (16) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Blood and eleven (11) remain available to collectors today.
