The Haida live in the islands near the coast of southeastern Alaska and northwest British Columbia. There are two different communities, known as the Masset and Skidegate. Curtis created a total of twenty-nine (29) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Haida and twenty-nine (29) remain available to collectors today.
