Selawik

The Selawik Eskimo lived in villages scattered along Selawik river and spread over the territory between that stream and the Kobuk, as well as over an equal stretch of country to the south.

Curtis created a total of seven (7) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Selawik and seven (7) remain available to collectors today.
