The Quapaw tribe originally occupied lands in Arkansas, Missouri, Mississippi and Tennessee. In the 1800’s, along with many other tribes, the Quapaw tribe was forced to move to Oklahoma where they are still living today. Curtis created one (1) copper photogravure plate during his visit with the Quapaw and it remains available to a collector today.
