The Nez Percé tribe are from the Columbia River Plateau in the Pacific Northwest Region. Today they are located in Idaho and governed through a central government known as the Nez Percé Tribal Executive Committee. Curtis created a total of thirty-seven (37) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Nez Perce and twenty-two (22) remain available to collectors today.
