The Kalispel tribe, also known as the Pend d’Oreille, lived on lands that stretched from western Montana into Idaho, eastern Washington and British Columbia, Canada. Curtis created a total of nineteen (19) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Kalispel and fifteen (15) remain available to collectors today.
