The Cree are one of the largest groups of First Nations in North America. In Canada, the Cree lived north and west of Lake Superior in Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and the Northwest Territories. In the U.S., Cree people lived west of Lake Superior. Today, the Cree live mostly in Montana. Curtis created a total of twenty-six (26) copper photogravure plates and twenty-two (22) remain available to collectors today.
