Noatak

The Noatak people are situated along the swift, shallow Noatak river, which empties into the narrow strait connecting Hotham inlet with Kotzebue sound. The villagers live in small, single room log cabins with bunks built against the side and rear walls. Curtis created a total of eleven (11) copper photogravure plates during his visits with the Noatak Eskimo and nine (9) remain available today.
